Policies and Information

Payment 

We accept credit card payments through our website, using our credit card processor PayPal and Stripe. To pay with a credit card (or your PayPal account), visit the event page, select any options required, and click “checkout” We accept all major credit cards. Once your payment goes through, you should receive an instantaneous e-mail confirmation. If you do not receive an e-mail confirmation, please Contact Us or call 267-536-9768 to confirm receipt of your payment.

In-Person Workshop Policies

Registration policy:

Live Soap School reserves the right to accept or deny enrollment in any class, lecture or workshop by any registrant. Class sizes are limited and enrollment is a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, Live Soap School is unable to prorate students for missed classes or workshops that they are unable to attend. We value your feedback. If you would like to share your experience or have questions or concerns, please email us using the contact form.

Inclement Weather policy:

Live Soap School is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and at times due to weather has found it necessary to cancel a class. If classes are cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions, a make up class will be scheduled. If students are unable to attend the make up class, students will be refunded the missed portion of their class fee.

Class cancellation policy:

Occasionally Live Soap School may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.

Student cancellation policy for In Person Workshops and Classes:

Students will receive a full refund of registration fee if a request to cancel is received by the Live Soap School no later than 7 days prior to the rscheduled session. Request to cancel less than 7 days prior to the class session will not be eligible for registration refund..

Registration Agreement Statement:

I understand and agree that when I register, I have obligated myself to pay for the courses and all other charges related to this registration. If registering by bank card, I authorize Zakia Ringgold Enterprises LLC to charge my account the amount noted. If I decide to cancel my registration, I understand that the date I officially cancel will determine the amount of refund, if any, I will receive.

Online Classes and Digital Content Policies

 

Private Lesson / Phone Consult Payment & Cancellation Policy

Private Lessons (at your location or the instructors’ location) must be booked a minimum of 1-2 weeks in advance to reserve your date and time. This allows the teacher time to  prepare, research, and gather any necessary materials. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is due at booking (with credit card or PayPal). The final payment is due no less than 5 days before the session. If you cannot attend (for any reason), call us at 267-536-9768. Rescheduling is subject to availability & may incur a rescheduling fee. If you cancel with more than 48 hours’ notice and you have paid in full, we will refund 50% of your total fee. If you have not paid the balance in full (only the 50% non-refundable deposit), you forfeit your deposit. We do not offer any refunds or credit if you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.

Phone Consultation with Zakia Ringgold can be booked at any time, based on instructor availability. They can be done over the phone or on video via Skype or another similar service. The entire fee is due at time of booking (with credit card or PayPal). If, for any reason, you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, Contact Us. Rescheduling is subject to availability & will incur a $20 rescheduling fee. If you cancel (without rescheduling) with more than 48 hours’ notice, we’ll refund 50% of your payment. Online Classes Return / Refund Policy

Online CLASSES & Workshops: Since you are granted full access instantly at the time of purchase, there are no refunds, exchanges or credits.

Books: All hard copy, paperback and ebook sales are final.
